Well, I take it back. I've listened to the Franz Ferdinand album and it's good. Put it this way, they're obviously massive britpop fans and bits of it were such signature Blur moves it made me laugh. That'll turn some people off. But personally I like a bit of Blur and their last album didn't do it for me, but this does (so far). It's art-school and maybe a bit too studenty lyrically, but there are nice tunes on it that are a lot better than some of the rubbish the NME plugs. Basically Britpop mark II. Definitely not a life-changing rock'n'roll experience, except for the band maybe, but any album with a track on it that turns The Human League's 'Gordon's Gin' from Travelogue into a rock tune can't be all bad.
