'Kicking Against The Pricks' by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds is for me THE best record in that genre so far. 'All Tomorrows Parties' is on it , sure. His first solo record contains an excellent cover of Leonard Cohen's 'Avalanche' too.

And what about the very bare version by Cat Power, if it's '(I can't get no) Satisfaction' we are talking about.

With Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds' "Kicking Against The Pricks", this Stina Nordenstam 'tour-de-force is a masterpiece in this area.

Although I'm an absolute Giant Sand/Howe Gelb fan (and I've always dreamt about a meeting between Howe and Julian), I've never dug "Cover Magazine" as well. Very messy, as usual with Giant Sand, but here for once it doesn't work.

Well there's "I've Have Always Been Here Before","Non Alignment Pact" and.."Satisfaction" Maybe another that I'm not familiar w/ or escapes me at the moment 'Course there's some Brain Donor that lifts the Stooges heavily enough to almost qualify, but Yeah..couldn't see him doing one,but the idea is an interesting one What would you want to hear him cover *instigating naother thread?*
