Rubbish. There's no apologists. It was a terrible act of murder, there's no excuse.

Sanctuary asked how we stop it happening again. Looking properly at the causes would be a good start. The fact that you won't accept that the actions of Western governments led to the creation of Daesh is your problem, it doesn't make anyone here an "apologist" for the murdering scumbags carrying out these acts.

A long read but worthwhile, on how UK/US support and supply of Saudi Arabia is contributing to Islamic terrorist groups:

"We are in serious trouble unless this all changes. Our leaders’ policies are endangering us, and are among our major threats. The terrorism that we, ordinary people, face, derives from an ideology and infrastructure to which our leaders, claiming to protect us, have contributed. We desperately need another foreign policy entirely, one based on support for those promoting democracy and human rights – rather on than those with contempt for them"

The civil war in Syria began in Syria, no help needed.
And his parents fled Lybia to make a better life here.
Should we bomb these countries?
No, ideally, we should ignore them.

That would even be down to the aid workers, who find it all as bleak as the rest of us but unlike most of us have the guts to try to help.
Often they are beheaded for their troubles.
Polio clinics bombed, viewed by some as 'colonial mastery' or something.

He was an Isis foot soldier, there was no ache in his heart that forced him to go what he did, which is being suggested here.

He cared not for human life anywhere, women are to be broken at his whim (Isis, remember), and do that and you break families everywhere.

No-one is apologising for the killers.

The US Security Services have referrred to these kind of home-grown terrorist acts as "blowback".

So maybe to use the CIA terms of reference "This is blowback".

Poor Manchester.

I have nothing to apologise for.

Western backed proxy armies of Daesh and ISIS leap-frogged their way from Libya (once they'd wrecked the country) to Syria (with help from the Usual Suspects). They started our work. There was no civil war in Syria. One was created with Western and Saudi-backed proxy armies of mercenaries. We have bombed both of these countries into the Stone Age.And we have boots on the ground in Syria (Parliament was not recalled). Just in case people haven't noticed - we are at war.
We could try and ignore those stable states which existed back in 2010. But we decided to wage war and destabilise them. We backed the worst Dogs of War Wahhabist head-cutters (Daesh/ISIS etc) on the planet to do our dirty work for us. They are continuing their dirty work and taking their work home with them... Manchester is what the CIA refer to as "blowback".

Poor Manchester.

Sanshee,
Thank-you for taking your brave stance among-st a bunch of terrorist apologists.
At least you can take comfort in the fact that the Intelligence agencies won't be ear-marking you as a sympathizer.
And "The Man" is watching too.

How does acknowledging cause and effect make anyone an "apologist" or a "sympathizer"?

It's not hard to join the dots between US/UK foreign policy in the Middle East and Islamic terrorist groups that sprang up in its wake. This is simple cause and effect. If we don't look at the causes how can we hope to stop this happening? Burying your head in the sand and ignoring the part the US and UK have played in this isn't going to stop it happening.

Calling anyone seeking to find the reasons why this is happening an "apologist" is like saying that someone explaining how the outcome of the First World War led to WW2 is an apologist for Hitler.

Holy Christ man.....
All your "reasons" don't mean shit to those victims survivors....
Get a grip man. This latest 'jihadist' was born in YOUR country.
Just like 'jihadi john' was too.
What the fuck was their excuse?
Nevermind....i'm sure you'll have some inscrutable logic that explains away the actions of 'THEM'.
You keep apologizing...'THEY' need all the support 'THEY' can get.

Just so you can wrap your head around the dhajjie point of view....i'm far more interested in preserving what is derogatorily {on this forum} called 'Western Culture' than i am of any culture based on pure hatred.
Fuck these 'Martyrs'
Mother-fuckers have got to go.
