Well I think you know I was being ironic, to illustrate how awful the threat towards Spain was. But if you want to interpret it as being crass towards Ireland and my Irish relatives and my soon-to-be Irish-citizens-Brexit-escaping offspring be my guest!

Ok, I have no Irish relatives, so you are naturally more qualified to say things as you will I suppose. Puts me in my place. Spain threatened the sovereignty of Gibraltar, a place I have no emotional care or concern for really. Technically British though, and seems the punters want to keep it that way. So why are Spain doing this? And why are the EU facilitating it?

And the truth is, apart from huff and puff and spin there's nothing the May government can do to influence the final outcome of the "negotiation". Europe is using far more moderate language than Boris, Gove and the Farage oik but it doesn't mean we aren't going to be humiliated.
