Two thoughts.
I doubt he'll be met with adulation in Brum.
Also, the underlying, deliberately insulting implication is that Brexiters are equivalent to Trump supporters and I fear there's a touch of truth in that.

Bloody sad and insulting pigeon holing of the people of Birmingham though. As it happens the area around the NEC would be as strongly Remain as London I'd have thought

Weren't sections of the US press labelling Birmingham as a "no go zone" due to the extremist Muslims there? Are we sure this isn't just the ultimate trolling of Trump?
