"You should get a vote as an affiliated union member on the leadership of The Labour Party." That's what I thought. But the wording on that link made me wonder if you had to also 'sign in' before 8th August? Ambiguous wording? or a way of removing even more people from the vote?

The trident thing is ridiculous, it's a classic example of the MPs voting the way they think people want to hear. Except I doubt many people have it has their top priority right now. The world's changed since the 1980s when i thought i'd go up in a puff of radioactive smoke. Who are these missiles supposed to deter? North Korea? Israel? Someone mad enough to fire one isn't going to care what happens to their own people. How many of the bloody things do you need. One for the whole of Europe would be enough, we could share. Glad to hear May would have no qualms about pressing the button. Safe in her bunker with her pot noodles while the rest of us are toast.

I do have a vote in The Labour party. As an affiliiated union voter. I've been working in the NHS for 23 years.

These people are not right. It should NOT be a private enterprise.

Are you saying you don't care what the wording says on the website, because you know you have a right to vote? Because when it comes to it, it may not matter that we both have the right to one, if we haven't jumped through their crafty hoop. That's my concern. What do you make of the wording?

Last time I never got sent a vote, even though I complained. They just said 'check your spam' as though i was too thick to think of it.

The right to vote is for the leader as far as I know, not for anything else. Unless they've changed the rules. Which wouldn't surprise me.

With Eagle quitting the race it leaves it to owen smith! A person who steals Corbyn's policies because he's got none of his own, takes credit for the hard work of other people, openly abusive, unliked in his own party amongst the PLP and members, calls himself a socialist but avidly supports austerity! Basically David Cameron!

One of the nicer things said about him is

"Know many people who've had dealings with @OwenSmith_MP, those who pass comment say the same thing, "he is a psychopath". #LabourLeadership"

EDIT: also openly sexist, considers himself 'normal' as he's married to a woman, voted for trident, abstained on welfare bill, wants more privatisation of the NHS and basically a total cunt!

I'm hoping he'll disappear back to the back benches the same way
