Thing is he has always been prolific and has been around for a very long time. In the 70's through to the early 90's (when I first came across him) you would see him referred to as an anarchist. He's obviously slightly changed his opinions over the decades, but I think he's still an anarchist rather than any shade of Marxist - save a broad agreement with his economic theories.
