The only answer to your question about why Scotland should be denied an independent state is that it was narrowly voted against. Although this must be upsetting for you I recognise a tantrum when I see one. I'm delighted this has woken you up politically though. A little less certainty that one is right is probably advisable. Historically gets a bit messy when righteous certainty kicks in.
