this may sound all too familiar but the local doghouse will execute 180 abandoned dogs in this town due to the council's lack of funds; paradoxically, the money allotted to this has been spent on more roads and more private meals with local politicians (probably canine meat!) and the carers have been given only a couple of weeks before they dispose of them, no time or money to send the dogs to other towns or cities (wankers!) the stench of burnt dog flesh can be quite bad, I've been told, so I am preparing a campaign with flyers to: a. save a dog b. show what a bunch of bastards the local council is made up of c. expose the root problem - don't get a pet and then abandon it once the novelty is gone "what will you do once the novelty is gone?" said Ian Curtis, well, it seems like most people would find it hard to get it on when they are not told what they can do in their boring lives... and me... I am allergic to pets |

This is not a rare occurence, as anyone who works at an RSPCA shelter will tell you. They kill thousands of dogs every week. But I think you're still right to expose these bastards; just cos cruelty is endemic doesn't mean you should give up. You may only save one dog from 150, but from that dog's perspective it's pretty damn important. When will people learn to get their pets neutered? If humans are to assume the arrogance to decide that a certain animal will be peotected from all the natural forces that might kill it and it's young, then they have the responsibility to deal with the resulting population explosion, and to take steps to humanely curtail it. And anyone who says 'but it's natural for them to have babies' is talking out of the wrong orifice; all 'naturalness' goes right out the window when we foster them and set up industries that slaughter animals we find too big or ugly to be canned and fed to these animals we find small and cute enough to put in our houses. Anyone who doesn't neuter their pet is directly responsible for the overpopulation that leads to the cruelty Annexus is challenging. Good luck Annexus, do your best. |

Exactly! As with meat, it's the industry that creates pets-for-a-short-time that I am against and the ignorance fostered by that trendy habit. Breed them, get the cash and then burn them. Again the perennial problem of the indifferent consumer in the circus of industry and Life as a commodity. Thanks for the support. I've just had an idea! I will get all 180 dogs inside their offices and scream "KILL! KILL!", as they don't seem to care for life too much. |

I've just managed to introduce a protest inside the school I work in so as to redirect my efforts through hundreds of people and reach yet more unaware members of the ultra-indifferent population of this town. races of dogs, activities, photos, interviews, the lot! or just plain barking... The vets even loved the flyers I posted last week slagging off the local council. Ha! Those council bastards are not aware they have unleashed hell by behaving like a Roman emperor.
