The Day They Make Cycle Helmets Compulsory - IS THE DAY I BUY A FUCKING CAR! - Wiggins!

Cycling with the wind going through my hair is one of the most pleasurable and last remaining freedoms I have that I can afford and that is still legal!

Compared to your head pounding inside a plastic cycle helmet on a sweltering day, so much that you feel like you're gonna pass out!

It's my head, it's my life & so it should be my decision!

I used to cycle serious distances before I got cancer.
I toured/camped round the country, mostly visiting ancient sacred sites. On my biggest solo ride, from Bournemouth to the Outer Hebrides, (to see for myself, with my own WIDE eyes Callanish - the seed sown from Jehovahkill) I threw in the hedge a brand new cycle helmet after just one such day in the saddle: as I climbed up onto the Mendip Hills in a 28 degree scorcher! The euphoria when I felt the wind in my hair instantly confirmed I had done the right thing!
I went over 1700 miles that trip & did loads of other trips and am still here to tell the tale. You just have to stay hyper alert and aware when cycling on the roads these days - constantly one step ahead of every other road user around you!

I think it'd just be better if they concentrated on providing decent cycle paths EVERYWHERE so we cyclists weren't so perilously at the mercy of motorists instead of introducing yet another LAW!

Wish they'd just FUCK OFF and let people live! (amended 03.08.2012): & die the way people want to!)
