I just assumed I hadn't managed to get the point across that the rate of rent that the council was willing individuals to be able to get rent allowance on was out of step with what rent you could actually get accommodation on. People are facing no longer being able to get rent allowance and therefore will lose accommodation even if they have it and can't talk the rent down. & everything is supposed to be finalised by the 30th June if not allowance will be effected.
The negotiation is being put in the wrong hands and it is going to have widespread effect. So locally people are trying to organise to combat this.
Couldn't really see how that was getting in tune with elsewhere. Seemed to be creating a situation that wasn't exactly tenable.
