In response to my first explanation of the point, you said that you "haven't a clue what you are going on about." I was just trying to clarify in case my post was unclear. That's all. I wasn't suggesting anyone was being "thick", so there's no need to be so defensive.

You say, "I think we knew that"; but plenty of non-British people *don't* know it. You seem to be assuming that everyone on the internet is either British, or is au fait with British terminology.
