Solidarity Camp Open weekends May & June
Apr 21, 2012, 14:05
sorry if title's misleading, I just got a message about 2 big weekend events on the camp. First one is a Solidarity Day/work weekend the other is the annual gathering.

"Hey folks,

Just want to let people know of some upcoming events:

May bank holiday weekend
The next Day of Solidarity is Friday 4th May. Actions will start first thing Friday morning, so please arrive on Thursday night. Food and accommodation provided, donations welcome. There may be lift shares coming from Dublin Cork or Galway so please get in touch if you need a lift or are able to offer one.
As it is a bank holiday Monday, the rest of the weekend will be a work weekend at the Rossport Solidarity Camp. All hands on deck, there will be loads of work to do and we need yer help!
The weekend will also include music, bonfires, fun, and a presentation from Earth First! campaigners called 'No System but the Eco-system.'
Please help promote the weekend by printing up posters and posting them in your town!
Find a pdf version of the poster here.

June bank holiday weekend
The seventh annual Rossport Solidarity Gathering returns for another weekend, jam-packed with workshops, music, family activities, discussions, and fun! The gathering is on the June Bank Holiday weekend, from the 1st-4th of June, in North Mayo.
We hope for this year's gathering to be about more than just Shell in Mayo. Since the economic crisis the ensuing cuts, giveaway of resources, IMF debt and bank bailouts have been affecting everyone. This growing unrest is accelerating with communities organising themselves to defend their homes, their land, their hospitals, and their rights. Community campaigns from all over Ireland are invited to come share stories, skills and experiences. Whether you are involved in Anti-fracking in Leitrim, Household tax in Dublin, Protect Our Coast in Dalkey, anti-cuts, or any other community struggle around the country, please contact us about holding a workshop about your campaign. Come and network, make friends and share!
Stay tuned for more details...

That's all for now,
All the best from everyone at the camp
