Sir Walter Walker
Oct 04, 2011, 21:31
Anyone remember Sir Walter Walker? The focus for a hoped for British military coup in the mid-1970s by the usual less progressive elements of our society? Disappointingly including Michael Bentine! (Potty Time indeed). And, surprise surprise, a founding member of the Conservative Monday Club.

Only ask because there seems to be very little information about him. A Daily Mail article saying it was always nonsense (which naturally makes one suspicious) and a wsws.org article stating that private armies were being massed the length and breadth of the country in 1974 to topple the Wilson government (which naturally makes one agree with the Daily Mail). Wondered if anyone is aware of this guy and if it was for real at the time. Died in 2001, so rest easy.

Just giving the old conspiracy theory muscles a stretch, hidden history and all that.
