Good on the jury and shame on the CPS. Will PC Harwood be criminally prosecuted now, I wonder?

"Last year, prosecutors said a decision not to pursue charges against Pc Harwood could be reviewed depending on the inquest findings."

Quote from the BBC websites coverage - so hopefully yes

Good news.

Here's hoping it continues to a proper resolution with justice served.

A minor victory for the bleeding obvious. I do not think justice would have reached at the current point if it was not for the film footage. The Police have been dragged kicking and screaming thus far.

Oh yes. Watch him get thrown to the wolves. Otherwise they need to accept that the practise and culture of the institution had a hand in it

And when they do that, we need to keep the film in mind. How casual he is about his attack, indicating he'd done it dozens of times that day. How his colleagues don't react at all, indicating they had all done similar things dozens of times that day.

And we should also keep in mind the film of the cops wading in batons flailing to a stationary crowd with their hands in the air chanting 'this is not a riot'.
