Yeh. Get a big net and pick all the plastic crap out of the various oceanic gyres around the planet for a start. Gotta ask though. What do we do with the oil it makes? If two of the big issues facing us are climate change and resource depletion, turning plastics into oil, that we then burn and turn into atmospheric CO2, we might be salving one problem, but exascerbating another.

main question would be about energy efficiency wouldn't it? If it uses as much energy to do the conversion as fuel it produces there'd be little point. So I hope revealing this process isn't purely for ecohype. Does get rid of unsightly/unhealthy waste though. stevo
