A lot of Sikhs (I don't know the numbers ) understandably carry baggage from the days of partition and also a hangover from the days of the Moghuls which led to the evolution of the religion particularly by martyrdom. This may well be a way of beginning to explain the incorrect thoughts of this man.

Reminds me of the gays and minorities who join the Republican party here. They're 'welcomed' only insomuch as they can be used as PR to prove how 'inclusive' they are. I liken it to the unpopular kid who, despite ridicule and humiliation, strives to be accepted by his tormentors. It's a sorry, sorry sight.

Seems he's basing his decision on his own religion's conflict with Islam. Thing is, the BNP at heart reckon 'he' is 'taking over' as much as 'they' are, so I don't get it at all. This guy is bound to realise that none of it is true. Jesus H I'm sure he's been on the receiving end of that in his life. Regardless, looks like the whole stinking lot is imploding one way or another. x

Did anybody here hear about the trouble Dominic Kennedy got in when reporting a BNP meeting? It's here, with a scary photo of him almost getting his nose torn out. (Not to mention another thug wearing sap gloves -- yikes! -- looking like he's about to grab him...) http://www.onepeoplesproject.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=329:now-the-bnp-is-beating-up-reporters&catid=29:antifa-news

"says he supports far-right party's anti-Islam stance" Have they not spent ages trying to convince us they're not 'anti-islam'? Because that'd be illegal.

I think a great big anti-Muslim bandwaggon is being jumped on there. Maybe there is some degree of anti-Muslim feeling among some Sikhs and I support any objection to extremist Muslim fundamentalism, but bloody hell, there have GOT to be better ways of expressing that than joining the BNP?!

Oh yeah I'd forgotten about that! Griffin hobnobbed with some fairly radical Muslims didn't he in an attempt to appear - well actually I've no idea why, but I'm guessing it was to make him look more tolerant or something? To be honest nothing that man says or does makes any real sense to me.

Didn't they pretend to be pro-Palestine when anti-semitism was the Hatred of the Month? x
