This is a really interesting approach to dealing with some of the limitations of traditional fixed, bladed wind turbines.

I have super-8 footage from the late seventies showing a relative of mine flying a kite that uses the exact same design (without the helium). On a moderately windy day it could really torque up pretty good out on the end of that line.
