World's biggest pyramid scheme collapses

Bernard Maddoff, the world's biggest scam artist... as long as nobody wanted to take ALL their money out, he could have run this scheme indefinitely.

It's shocking to see how many large banks and big names are connected to this, and how many billions are involved.

I can't help laughing in that gallows humour type way at the guy's name..
phonetically it's 'made off', or so the tv news has been reporting.
How much exactly did he or try to 'make off' with?

Yeah! It's funny how that name thing works sometimes...

This thing went on for years and years. It wasn't just him that got rich. His initial investors probably made their money back. It was the latecomers to the game that got screwed the worst... basically, anyone with large sums still invested in this firm will probably have to fight to get some portion back.

We're talking about a 50 billion dollar house of cards falling down here.

And no one saw a fing Guv.

More rotten apples in the barrel of de-regulated banking and finance. Will they learn? Probably not.
