McDonuts Trashing

See that the French are today holding the trial of a peasant farmer accused of trashing his local, south of France, Mcdonuts.
Globalisation is coming to a town near you soon.
Seems like to try and avoid a trashing of the whole town that they have arranged for bands to play as well.
Perhaps Julian could toddle over and warm up the crowds!

'Paysan' doesn't mean peasant in the same way it does in English. It merely means someone who lives in the countryside, as opposed to the city. A case of lazy translation, I think you'll find.

Thank you your lordship for casting some light on my darkness.
pennies begin to drop.
In John Steinbecks excellent short novel Tortilla Flatt, the heroes of the novel live in a semi- shanty behind Monterey.I quote "the old inhabitants of Monterey are embattled as the Ancient Britons are embattled in Wales. These are the paisanos" cool I presume the same root of origin.
Love and life as ever
