I just found this in an article on the BEEB news web site.

"I have asked the board to pay me no salary, bonus or long-term compensation except for options," he said.

This is a quote from the new boss of Ford. If I made this statement and sacrifice it would mean quite a bit, because I haven't been earning $1m dollars a year lately and don't really have many savings. Do the 20,000 people that Ford are about to lay off feel any better because he will be living off the massive anounts of money he made whilst second in command at Ford? I think not. Will the general public think it's a bold and wondeful move on his part .. I think so, but I hope not.
