Slightly misguided, but at least looking in the right way?

Woolfy sheep?

Or downright evil?

I can't decide?

Plum duff

Know who winds me up? Keith Allen. I know that's not really U-Know talk, but it's been getting my goat all day.

I find his position baffling too. The Ecologist has done some outstanding work, and Goldsmith's always been ready to support what are often unpopular causes out of principle.

But how the fuck do you square a commitment to sustainability with the Tory party? They're going to continue to give tax breaks to fossil fuel transport, Cameron's said that you can't expect people to stop flying and so shouldn't try, they beleive in the idea of perpetual economic growth (ie accelerating consumption of finite resources).

I presume he's been seduced by the idea that having a lever inside a mechanism of power is better than working from the outside. Thing is, that power is derived from doing the unsustainable things Goldsmith opposes; to move to sustainablity is to destroy their own power. So anything they let Goldsmith do will only be rearrangement of deckchairs.
