1. Renationalise key service industries (e.g. railways, water, gas & electric, etc.) so that any money made from them goes to the government and is available for education (among other things).

2. Restate and reinforce a commitment to comprehensive secondary education.

3. Build more schools to reduce class sizes and fund schools properly so there enough teachers/resources.

Keep private money and 'faith' groups out of the education system. Schools should not exist to create profit for shareholders or to indoctrinate kids with religious belief. So there.

Start with the principle that all kids deserve a good school, regardless of their socio-economic background and geographical location.
