Why should I argue about something I stopped caring about?

I think our entire political class are part of the problem Manao. It does interest me, the way some people react to Galloway - he's not very important really, but he has held a fairly consistent line over the Middle East for many years while most peole were giving it no thought at all. And how, exactly, have you "seen through him"? Sounds to me like you've just bought the party line/ Daily Mail view which is nothing new. If he was really so bad surely they would have got something to stick after all these years throwing mud at him? I've bumped an old thread (dunno if you caught it first time) as I imagine we could all just end up going over the same arguments re. Galloway.

When I heard this story on the news, all I thought was "people dying for their beliefs = martyrs, yup, George's still got that dictionary".

It's the language of politics I guess. Soundbites from the soapbox. It's not just Galloway that does that.

I think you will find I've been pretty consistent in what I've said about Galloway in all my postings on this forum - and I stand by all of it. The guy is marginal, often inflammatory, but usually right. And I think we need him more than ever. By the way, isn't "Manao" the Thai word for Lime or Lemon?

Galloway is, as we say in these parts, a bawbag. Ask him to sort a problem in the community and watch his eyes glaze over. He was a shite constituency MP for Hillhead and pity the poor burghers of London that have him now.
