You need a mushroom basket for the front ;-~)~

Arrrr, Penzance! You spooky man. The Morfeling just crossed the pond and arrived in Penzance today for the Easter hols with Granma. Sadly I can't make it down for ages. Will come down in the late summer if possible I have to catch up with the old Bugle-ers for one. Will buy you a pint for sure. Ding-ding...briiiing! PS What was Syd's bike like apart from a bell> I have images of a spaceship with spoked wheels...

That's probably what it looked like to him, anyhows!

Have just shelled out a couple of hundred for a montain bike meself btw. Never been a particularly keen cyclist prior to doing it long distance in Italy last year and finding it a much more enjoyable form of exercise than jogging.

Techy boring question

Hi morfe,

I'm (sort of) good at cycling, but shite with maintenance. The front derailliers won't shift down the gears very well. What bit should I be adjusting? I know where the little screw on the back ones is, but can't find one on the front.

Sorry - how tedious!

I've had a bike sitting outside my house since I moved in, sat outside the houise before that too. Means it's been unused for the last 3 years and I'm wonder5ing if I should get it sorted out or just get a new one.
The year or 2 that I rode a bike frequently had me getting the fittest I'd been in ages, if not ever to that point. I may have been more so later as I joined the college gym as I should've this year. Regreetting it now since that was a very good place to get rid of frustration etc. Just push myself a bit harder on the treadmill. Or weight machine.
Imagine I'm booting loudmouths in the head or whatever.
but that's tangential. Must get that bike sorted or a new one.
