Oh YEAH!!! I remember Joey Deacon! That puts you very definitely in my age bracket then, cos you mention Joey Deacon to anyone five years older or five years younger than me and they haven't got a clue what you're talking about!

Yeah, we weren't so anti-gay in those days, didn't know enough about it probably, but if you had any kind of disability you were fair game! God kids can be cruel!

I remember our head teacher at primary school bringing people in to talk to us about spastics (as they were tactfully known as in those days) in a vain (and fruitless) attempt to stop kids from using the term 'spastic' in a derogatory manner. As I say, kids can be REALLY vile!
