If it's true that everything is focused on the short term, then in the long term it will be a self-correcting problem as I keep pointing out. At some point the long-term issues are unavoidable. The question is whether it reaches a crisis point where there is no recovery possible, or whether the system continues to adapt before the crisis point is reached.

We can obviously see the crisis looming, and if we can see it so can "the capitalists."
