It's not a galloping horse , it's static a hill figure .
The author of the paper imagined it was galloping and we know where that got him .
I'm happy to look at as it is , or galloping , either way it's not heading off into the sunset .

Is the train example far enough ? No sunset to the right there .

Travelling from Didcot to Swindon, facing direction of travel, autumn or winter evening. The sun is setting slightly SW of the direction your train is travelling in (WSW) but visible from your seat if you look forward left.

Now turn your head 90 degrees to the left to look at the horse out of the window. Looking in the direction of the horse, the sunset is now to the right of the direction you are looking in.
