Music recorded at stones
Aug 09, 2017, 15:21
Hi all,

I've been making a slight return to visiting stones after a long lay off. I thought you might be interested in this EP of music all recorded entirely at pre-historic sites...

All the best,

Mark

Hi Mark

I really enjoyed that and felt you nailed it. Working a lot on Bodmin moors stone circles we hear the sound of Skylarks all day long so it hit the spot for me (albeit a different bird) and will be parting with my £4.
Coincidently we begin work clearing the dual stone circles on Emblance Down this coming Monday so this will resonate in my head! Well done.

I like it a lot.
Have just listened to this while looking at photos I took today out around Avebury - Silbury, West Kennet Long Barrow and the Ridgeway. Am now listening for the second time (headphones) - the voices at the beginning and end of the first track are effective and the birdsong is lovely. Not sure which birds but always associate skylarks with the Avebury landscape. Today it was swallows swooping in and out to feed their young in WKLB.

If you like that, I think you'd like Mark's other stuff too. I'm a big fan of these:

Hi Mark! This is amazingly atmospheric! Love it. :)

We were thinking of you at the Megameet last Sunday as we showed some Avebury n00bs the fossilised wood in the stone in the Southern Inner Circle near the Obelisk that you pointed out. There's always something new to see, however many times you visit! :)
