Make sure you take in Achnabreck enroute from Lochgilphead. For scenic context, we always fit in a walk up the back road from the valley towards Crinan Ferry and up the Kilmichael Glen to see the Glassary and Loch Leathan, towards Barmolloch. It's important to WALK, to get the vibe!

Thanks T, we are staying
by the Crinan Canal at Cairnbaan so hoping for some good walking - it is meant to be a combined walking/archaeology holiday. Just bought some new walking shoes and as slipped in my current ones last year (broken humerus - not funny). All mended now and will be thinking about where I put my feet. Kilmichael Glen and Glassary sounds inviting - will make a note of all the places you mention.
