Am off to the Netherlands next week for 2 half days and one full day of cycling and Hunebedden. We'll be based in Emmen. Any must sees, shouldnt misses, tips and tricks?

A proposed cycle route, may be of interest. The Hunebedden centre is very touristy as you may expe, however, worth a visit

At Borger, about 12 miles North of Emmen, via a number of Hunebedden. It is also home to D27 one of the biggest Hunebedden, however, also one of the saddest as parents allow kids to jump all over it and adults clamber over it for selfies, would imagine it would be a good day out on the bikes said by someone who drove and only took his bike off the rack when needed!

Hunebedden 38-47 are all accessible from Emmen.
Of particular note is D43 Schimmeres, a long grave with two hunebedden within it. It is just 15 minutes walk from Emmen bus station.
You can easily visit them all on foot in a single day. The two farthest from the bus station require a 45 minute walk each way, so taking the No 2 bus will be helpful.

You can find details of how to reach all the hunebedden at
