They are truly striking, particularly at close quarters when the wind is blowing through them!
I've found some candidate stones but the nature of the Orkney slab stone makes them unique in my experience.
There's:
- Lech Idris, Gwynedd
- Dunruchan A, Perthshire
- Nether Largie centre stone, Kilmartin
- Some of the Ring of Brodgar stones
- The Callanish centre stone
These all come in the category of "sort-of" !
