That is indeed an excellent thing. Lets hope one day they build a 'Prehistory Centre' as well and this time build it in the right place.

Yes, I remember there was a prehistory centre type place in Aberdeenshire. What happened to it?

Sadly no funding, so it closed. Not sure what if anything is left on the site now, DB will know as it's not far from him. http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/post/112856/news/aberdeenshire.html

A lot of houses are being built at Kirkton Of Oyne and the bridge at the Premnay/Auchleven junction so its a safe bet it will eventually be built on. I drive past there most weeks as I work in the area and it is beginning to be a rubbish dump.

Not just for teachers but for anyone who wants to take the time to read it. Haven't yet made it to NE Scotland ...

We went last year & Aberdeenshire is stunning. We were struck by the lush green countryside & fields of golden crops; vast areas with hardly any one about in some places. The area surrounding Dunnideer is magical. The sea side was spectacular too. The RSCs are mighty, tucked away in lovely old woods; on tops of hills; nestled in plateaus..it was great.
