There was clearly some kicking off back then but nothing like the tribal problems of the later iron age, i'm under no illusion either, life was still hard but it was also a hell of a lot richer than now [and i don't mean money], and flint is sharper than any metal just not as long lasting [as you clearly well know], like i've said before my mate makes granite stone [and flint] axes, i can knap pretty well but my 13 years old lads a natural, he's got knapped flint all round his bedroom and you'd think it was real ancient stuff to see it.
