Personally I think if they're going to do one they might as well do it close in where the maximum public educational and outreach dividend can be got, subject to overcoming all the caveats of course. But again, it's hard to say yes when you don't know how much downside there would be or even worse, speculative input. The wrong way up would be annoying.

I'd also set up a picket, like Arthur at Stonehenge, with a notice saying "That's Yer Lot for this Generation so don't start getting any Ideas"...

You would get plenty of support from young people .Those I know who are interested in archaeology , anyway .
