By the way, bladup, as an approaching 70 year-old, I have great respect for the young, whether they’re sitting outside the Red Lion just enjoying themselves or diligently cleaning some of the defaced Avenue stones (as they were some years ago).

Dedication, respect, protection of our heritage and environment ain’t age-related (nor is the opposite to those things).


Nigel is "acting" like the typical old git though, i'd like to think it's all tongue in cheek [mine normally is], I do really think that people will think differently in 20 years time and really wonder why we didn't put the buried stones back up, they may even say we didn't respect the place and was clearly still on the side of the christians, landscapers and bigots that buried them in the first place.
