That's not the point you were making though. You were arguing that there was enough support here for the status quo for archaeologists to draw conclusions from that, which is patently untrue.

As for "winning support", this thread is a discussion amongst a handful of people. It's not a public campaign or an indication of the national mood. It's just a conversation - nothing more, nothing less.


We all know it'll happen one day soon, it's just some would like to see it happen sooner rather than later, Not for ourselves but for the country as a whole and even going back to it's second place - the rest of the world.
For this country to enter a new environmental age we need as complete a Avebury as we can get, we can never fix parts of the earth we've ruined in the same way we can't fix parts of Avebury that we've ruined, but we can bandage them both up as much as we can - it's our duty no less.
