I really enjoyed reading this Carl as Callanish is top of my list of stone circles yet to visit while I still can.

It took me 20 years to get there, but it was well worth the wait. I was extremely lucky with the weather as well. I woke up overlooking the harbour in Ullapool with the sky clearing after a storm. The sun stayed out for the ferry crossing, and the views back towards the mainland were just exquisite. That journey alone is something I'll always cherish.
