Loie and I will be in Avebury Sunday, July 15, hoping for a Megameet! If that's congenial for the group, could folks chime in and give me an approximate head count? I'd very much like to know how many little souvenirs I need to make!

We will also be there - all 4 of us. :) It's worth pointing out that a lot of people will be coming who follow Heritage Action on Twitter and Facebook and that don't visit TMA, so a roll-call on TMA won't be by any means as comprehensive as it once was. Due to past nastiness, it was decided that the Megameet wouldn't be formally announced on TMA any more, but rather on Heritage Action's own website via the Heritage Journal (http://www.heritageaction.org.uk) - as well as the aforementioned social media outlets. Keep an eye on the Journal, as an announcement is due soon. You could always follow the account on Twitter for updates, which, among other things, announces all new blog posts, of which there are new ones every day. (https://twitter.com/#!/heritageaction). Or, if you prefer, there's always Facebook, which provides a similar service.(https://www.facebook.com/HeritageAction) No excuses. ;) G x

As my Father used to expect me to say, "No excuse, Sir!" I'm sorry to be so out of it, both technologically and politically. I will watch the Journal. Please if I have been premature or incorrect in asking/posting here, delete this thread! No excuse, Sir! Thank you for getting me as up to date as its possible for me to get. However, I'd still like to get something like a head count. Will that be possible by watching the Journal?

BuckyE wrote: I'd still like to get something like a head count. Will that be possible by watching the Journal? I may be wrong, but until you mentioned it, I don't believe it was even considered! It was easier in previous years as the Megameet was much more associated with TMA, but most attendees now don't use TMA as much as they used to, and due to the ridiculous and blatant thread subversions by jealous parties over the last few years it wasn't seen as a priority to plug it here. If people wish to state their intention to attend, then that's great. We can ask people to respond on the Journal and Facebook and Twitter as well, I guess, but I don't believe there was ever an intention to publish projected numbers prior to the event... It's more often something we only know (and are pleasantly surprised by!) on the day! G x

We were going to run a reminder on Sunday Bucky as it will be six weeks to go. We can ask people to message us if they're going so we should have a reasonable estimate for you in due course. A souvenir eh? A bible? A tea caddy? Wot? ;)
