We stopped in at the store/smokehouse and met the little dog. I'd go back to Orkney just for their kippers!


Ach! That’s good to know, and for anyone else who’s a kipper fancier, and might be up Whitby way, Fortune’s Kippers is an absolute must. Their little smokehouse has hardly changed in over a hundred years, smoke fills the street where it’s situated, and they wrap the smoked beasties up in newspaper.
