Personally, I thought your original was more appropriate - "Act with respect towards the feelings and enjoyment of other visitors". (The Code isn't about how visitors ought to treat other visitors with respect - that could apply to a pub or a football match, it's about acting towards and around monuments in such a way that the feelings and enjoyment of other visitors aren't affronted or blighted.
Let's face it, we shouldn't need to underline that we should all act with consideration towards others, just as society shouldn't need to codify respect towards the elderly. But it is the world we live in now.
Tma is perhaps too marked with scars and wounds to enthuse about respect.
