Thats a great website! Handy too as Im off to Pembrokeshire in a few weeks

Hey I saw some spirals there...

Yep , not much rock art in Wales but we are fortunate to have the rare spirals and extremely rare zig zags .Interestingly Newgrange and Fourknocks are a max of 10 miles from the sea then it's a simple boat journey to Barclodiad . A lot of the spirals are close to the coast particularly the Irish Sea .

Impressive art it is too. I would much prefer a little bit of the best than loads of moderate art. I couldn't get into Barclodiad-y-Gawres when I was there. It was strange cuz there were about 30 people there all gathered around the entrance but we couldnt get in. I bet all of them would have prefered to pay a small fee and get to see it if they had someone manning the door. Ah well, at least its a good excuse to visit again :)

The key is available at a nearby shop, I bet someone in the thirty had it but didnt want to share

This used to be the case, but our understanding is that only "chaperoned" visits are allowed now, this being a response to some defacement that occurred during unsupervised visits.
