Family friendly festivals
Jul 13, 2017, 11:00
So I know there's a few of you out there who know a bit about this

I'm after festival recommendations (probably day visiting), not too big, that would be fun for both adults and children. Ramsbottom last year worked a treat. Every year I threaten to do this then leave it too late so any help much appreciated

Midlands based but will travel.

Ta in advance

Thanks KC - looks good

I'll let you know if we're heading over (and then I'll just look out for an, ahem, "individually bright" shirt.........!!!)

Another lovely festival, that I was at last year - so can vouch for personally - is Blind Cat. It's in a beautiful location, not over crowded but with one stage in a little wooded copse and another in a lovely restored barn. Great catering and facilities.

Belladrum at Beauly near Inverness is widely regarded as Scotland's best family friendly festival.

Back in the day, I went to a couple of proper nice ones up in that neck of the woods. Solfest and Wicker Man. Well, on the same page in my road atlas, anyway. Are those still going, does anyone know?

Wicker Man Festival has sadly stopped and won't be back but I enjoyed that Festival also. Sol Fest, I think is still going.
