coffee question
Mar 07, 2017, 21:52
Got myself what I consider a decent filter coffee machine.
Paid a wee bit more than previous ones, didn't fancy one of those 'pod' contraptions, as basically I can't see them being around for too long.
Got a grinder too, so can go with whole beans.
However, haven't quite got quantities right, that is amount of coffee to amount of water.
I prefer to go by weight of coffee other than spoonful as that can be not too precise, and there is tons of conflicting advice out there.
Anyway, cheers in advance for your wisdom on these matters.

I don't worry about "too precise" at all....
I like my coffee from a 12 cup percolator with the grounds about 3/4th's full in the basket....
With a 12 cup drip/filter job I fill the filter about 3/4th's too.
That's pretty damn strong coffee using Folgers or Maxwell House.
Dhajjie likes a wallopin' caffeine buzz to start his day.
In fact, without it, I'll get a migraine headache for sure around 4 or 5 in the afternoon.
{Dhajjie also likes a chunk of dark chocolate with his coffee too}
{He doesn't scruple where it was sourced either, Dhajjie just knows it came from the grocery store....}{cheeky grinning faced emoji thingy...}

Dark chocolate I love. Quantities loads.
