I only knew that song too but have since heard the album, which is great. There isn't really much in the way of prior knowledge to be had - a 20 minute or so album that eventually surfaced after they disintegrated and that was it! I think you'll enjoy it dude.

I noticed there's a new version of the album (released last year to tie in with the book), which is a double CD. The original album (Grown Up Wrong) is disc 1, retitled Sick On You, and a second disc of demos and outtakes from Casino/Matheson's archive.
Alas, still no sign of the legendary Melinda Lee.
