'Scuse I for tangentally butting in...but remember the mastering too. I am at this moment sitting watching the rain and listening to the new John Martyn comp May You Never: The Essential John Martyn (3CDs, £5-99). Apart from the gorgeous content, the sound of it is blissful, even on shitty phones. Not a loud, in your face job. It just.....floats. Mastering was done by Dan Smith at Fluid Mastering http://www.fluidmastering.com. Have a read..they're predominantly but not exclusively analogue and seem very flexible with their services and fees. A goal that you may have thought was out of your price bracket may not be. Dennis Blackham at Skye Mastering's pretty good too, imo. If you want a complete package of loveliness then..just a thought. Buy and listen to that JM. Good luck : )
