Been loving darkly comedic Norwegian sitcom 'Dag'. Briefly put, It's about the ups and downs of a marriage councilor who thinks we should all live lives of solitude. Unlike other sitcoms of it's ilk, it doesn't shy away from the very dark moment of the main protagonists, but also has some daffy comedic moments usually at the expense of his man/child best friend Benedict. Up to series 4 so far, think you can catch it on Sky Arts at the mo'.

Also just plowed through two seasons of Italian Cammora drama 'Gomorrah' which was shit loads better than I thought it was gonna be. Basically the toing and froing and power struggles of various rival drug cartels in Scampia in Naples. If you thought UK brutalist architecture was bad, google the beatific sounding 'sails Of Scampia' for a quick shot of a real shit hole.

Oh and the new series of Hinterland (Y Gwyll - The Dusk in Welsh) is on S4C at the minute (it's in Welsh....dur, obvs, but there are subtitles for those partial to em'). Every bit as dark and beautiful as the other two series. Very Scandi-crime in visuals and tone. We had a short break around Aberystwyth in early Sept, which un-intentionally turned into a Hinterland location fest, as pretty much everywhere we visited, we recognised from the series.
