Surprised I didn't think of this obvious one already!

I'm coming around to the Velvets idea. Do want to stick to "important & well known" bands (to get into the less important & well-known bits of their catalogs.) I don't think something like Loop would click with too many regular listeners.

Mo Tucker's c. 1994 solo album is not bad at all, but it's waaaay after the group broke up. There is also one track on there where her backup band is: Reed, Cale & Morrison!!! The first actual VU reunion.
