I haven't heard either of the re-union albums, but the absence of Lindley makes me a touch sceptical - not that there wasn't a great deal of other talent in that band, but I think the original concept for a multi-instrumentalist folk-rock/psych/world music outfit was his.

I listened to "Berniece" at work a couple of times and it's pretty plodding blues rock, for the most part. Not sure how that happened - perhaps a combination of personnel changes and disillusionment with lack of commercial success.
