A 1972 set turned up on Dime a couple days back. Been hoping for more from around that early since i first heard the Phoenix e.p. as bonus tracks on the mid noughties reissue of Argus. It isn't as animated as that New Orleans recording but seemed pretty decent.

Don't think I'm a big fan of the guy's voice but the music's good. I always hear a more proggy take on something somewhat reminiscent of the ballroom sound. So wondered if there was much SF influence.
